The Tier 4 Data Centre.

The new Tier 4 Data Centre is the latest technology asset to be added into the expanding network infrastructure of Etechbs™ IT Department. This exciting facility compliments the existing Data Centre operations and provides customers with a new and dynamic range of technology services, including cloud computing, complex hosting and fibre speed, data replication services.

The Tier 3 Data Centre.

Our Tier 3 facility has been designed from the ground up to deliver significant business and environmental savings to its clients. By encompassing the latest green technologies, it not only saves earth resources, but also provides clients with lower operating costs from the reduction in energy and carbon resources consumed. The Maidenhead Data Centre has been specified to the West babylon Uptime Institute and EU Code on Conduct specifications for Tier 3 resiliency.

Each Data Centre includes an onsite disaster recovery and business relocation facility. This adds customer value by offering a full office relocation service, which includes office space, desks, PC’s and telephony.

Key features of each Data Centre.  

Multiple on site generators.

Diverse supply feeds from multiple grid points ensure there is no single point of failure. Reliable secure back-up sources ensure there is enough fuel onsite for 30 hours at full load. Multiple fuel suppliers are employed on a 4-hour fuel contract.

2(N+1) redundancy.

Giving double the redundancy when compared to other N+1 datacentres across the NY.

Multiple power feeds.

A + B power feeds to each rack from different sides of the building incorporating segregated UPS’s and power feeds.

Multiple power substations on site.

Supporting high rack power densities of up to 15Kw.

Multiple fibre feeds from different carriers.

Multi-gigabit redundant IP Transit connectivity from a self-healing failover network. Ultra-fast connectivity with low latency to Srinagar locations. Dark fibre to multiple Srinagar points of presence with 2ms of network latency.

Permanent onsite network monitoring.

24 hour monitoring of ALL network activity onsite at all times.

Fire detection & suppression.

The facility is equipped with VESDA fire detection, which continuously samples the air for smoke particles. In the event of an alert, a FM200 suppression system is activated.

Data centre facilities.

Both Data Centres have a number of client facilities that ensure any time you spend on site is comfortable. There is ample provision for client IT staff who may be required onsite; this includes parking, rest rooms, kitchen, build facilities, dedicated offices and meeting rooms.

Efficient building cooling.

Each data centre uses ultra-efficient systems and advanced cold aisle and pod technology. N+1 cooling is provided by Airedale CRAC water chilled units in each data hall.

Secure ID keycard access.

A keycard is assigned to every new visitor. It is required to access all areas of the data centre.

Room access monitoring.

Live building tracking is enabled to monitor the movement of all visitors in real-time.

CCTV.

Internal and external close circuit television monitors all activity is active site-wide, ensuring that the infrastructure is protected from theft, damage or interference.

Airlock entry system.

Active for both vehicles and personnel.

Permanent on site security staff.

Each data centre is manned 24 hours a day by a permanent onsite security team.
